Every
Featured Friday I'll be having a guest post written by one my friends featured
on Wonderfully Wolf! The very first guest is one of my best friends, McKeller.
She and I met when I joined Sigma Alpha Omega and she became my big! She
immediately became a huge blessing in my life and the best big I could
imagine. We also happen to wear the same size so I was constantly borrowing her
clothes (I pretty much wore her wardrobe more than my own!). I hope you enjoy all of her fashion advice and awesome styling
tips!
To McKeller: Thank you for being
such an incredible friend, bridesmaid, and big. Thank you for always supporting
me and my dreams, being my shoulder to cry on, and a constant voice of
encouragement. I love you so very much!
First of all, I want to thank Courtney for inviting me to be a
guest writer for Wonderfully Wolf! I am so thankful to have such a sweet friend
in my life who is also very supportive of me. I am extremely passionate about
clothes/fashion and I find such joy in helping others feel their best in their
own skin by wearing outfits they love!
My first post is featuring a summer color combination that I am
absolutely CRAZY for this year: white and tan! It may sound somewhat “vanilla” but
with a good summer tan (or a great self-tanner! I recommend Jergens Tanning
Mousse) this combo truly pops!
Being a true Southerner, white is one of my go-to summer staples. If
you’re searching for a new pair, these
white jeans from Target and these
from Macy’s are great options. Remember, finding jeans that fit you correctly
may take time so be patient! As far as white shorts go, I love J Crew Factory’s
Chino
shorts as well as Lilly Pulitzer’s Buttercup
shorts.

With my ever growing love with tan/sand colors, this top is now
one of my closet favorites! Is it obvious I LOVE ruffles? They are sweet, girly, and a little bit sassy. Since the shirt I’m wearing is a few years old, I was unable to find it currently available but J. Crew always has ruffled shirts, so definitely check their website in a few months. A good sleeveless top is always a must in my book because it can be worn year round with a cardigan during the fall/spring and a blazer at work! This shirt is similar in that it has ruffles and I love this top as well.

The white Lilly Pulitzer shorts and the slouchy sand colored shirt
from Banana Republic (links above) with a Baublebar chunky necklace would be
perfect for a fun day of shopping, running errands, or going to a movie. It’s
pretty much the perfect every day outfit! Take the same top and throw on a
black (or bright) pencil skirt and you’re ready for a more casual work look for
a day at the office.
White and tan also look fabulous as a dress and purse combo!
Perfect for a summer date night! I LOVE
a good tan purse or clutch because it is versatile year round, therefore, you
can justify spending a bit more money on a quality bag that will last for
years. As of right now, I am actually toting a tan purse from the Kate Spade
outlet. It is no longer available but here
is a similar style if you’re willing to fork out the higher price! And here
is a much more affordable (hello, SALE!) taupe Kate Spade crossbody. A white
dress is also perfect for so many occasions! It can be worn to your own bridal
shower (congrats if you’re engaged!), to church, or out to a nice dinner. I
love the crispness of a white dress in the summer and how well it shows off
that bronzed summer glow. Lilly Pulitzer has the BEST white dresses. I had such
a tough time choosing one to highlight but this
is definitely one of my favorites because it is such a classic Lilly piece!
I think the pairing of tan with white is so classic and easy. If
you want to add a spark of color, find a fun necklace like this one or
one of these new bracelets from a collaboration between Moon & Lola (a
NC-based company!) and Bourbon and Boweties (another Southern-based company). This
definitely caught my eye! How cute are the flamingos?!

I, personally, tend to go more neutral with the jewelry and add a
fun lip color! Red is slowly but surely becoming my favorite lip color after
searching high and low for the perfect shade for me and my skin tone! This
is the color I have been using in a Clinique Chubby Stick. Always remember, fair skin
and features (such as mine!) need a red with blue undertones and darker skin
tones and features need an orange-red!
I am so glad you are visiting Wonderfully Wolf! Let Courtney and I
know what you think about this post and what future topics you would love to
see the next time I'm a Featured Friday guest!
XOXO,
McKeller
