Three Months of Marriage

Dakota and I have officially made it to our three month anniversary!! We’re not the type to celebrate month anniversaries but I thought I’d do a little post/update on how these past few months have been as Hubz and Wifey.

Half of me feels like the past three months have crept by so slowly and the other half feels like we’ve married for three years already! After the wedding, life drastically slowed down. I went from planning a wedding, completing two degrees, and being in a sorority, to becoming a little housewifey with not much to do all day! And I’m sure not complaining (I adored being a housewife)!

Insecurity

For those of you who follow me on Instagram (@wonderfully_wolf), you may have seen my question for Friday’s Faith Share Friday loop! If not, let me fill you in.

With starting my first “big girl” job tomorrow, I have found myself in a big ball of insecurity.

All of my previous jobs have been ones that were fairly simple and I succeeded at what I needed to do fairly quickly.  However, I am very nervous for my new job. As the Marketing Manager, I am responsible for implementing marketing plans, creating campaigns, and ensuring the entire campus looks exactly how it should with little help and guidance. Needless to say, I’m feeling a lot of pressure and insecurity about being able to meet the demands of this position.

How Loud is Your Praise?

Disclaimer: This post is 100% preaching to the choir as this is a topic that has been pulling at my heart strings! I’ve been feeling the Lord whispering to me a lot lately about this post and how much I’m struggling in this area as well so here’s to being completely candid in hopes that the Lord will speak to your heart too!

A few weeks ago, the Pastor at our amazing church in Jacksonville spoke on praise. Seems like a simple, ‘I’ve probably heard this before’ message right? Wrong. This message was so thought provoking that it has been at the front of my mind ever since we heard it and I’d love to share with you a few of my thoughts on the topic of praise versus petition!

Weekend Recap: Painting with a Twist

Happy Monday Loves!! I hope you each had a fabulous weekend!  Dakota and I had somewhat of an eventful weekend so I thought I’d do a little recap for you :)

Friday morning I had an interview (yayyyy!!!!) and I was also asked to participate in an Instagram loop called Faith Share Friday! This is a loop where Christian women pose a question related to faith and other women respond and share their own stories. I had an absolute blast sharing stories of faith and reading how other wives try to embody the Proverbs 31 woman in their daily lives! I encourage you to hop on Instagram this Friday and search for #faithsharefriday to participate and connect with some awesome women of God!

With all the excitement of my day, my usual at-home schedule got a little thrown off and I forgot to set something out for dinner (oops!).

You Can't Buy Love but You Can Rescue It

Today I am so excited to share a topic that is so near and dear to my heart! Since I was a child, I have always had an undeniable love for all animals. I truly believe it was a quality God gave me that has led me to meet some amazing people and animals! God Bless my sweet parents that always accepted and loved every animal I brought home over the past 22 years!

My junior year at Campbell, my mom found a little tan and white mutt strutting down the street towards a busy 4 lane road! She immediately stopped and picked him up so he wouldn’t get hit by a car. At that time, he was about 30 pounds, covered in scars, and had a choke collar so tight around his neck that he could no longer bark. She quickly realized that it wouldn’t be possible for him to join her family of furbabies since our property is lined with a 3 foot fence and this poor stray could easily jump that. My mom quickly took to facebook to try to find the sweet pup she called “Charlie” a home.
"Charlie"
Around the same time, Dakota had been saying how he wanted a dog so I suggested that he took Charlie!

Introducing, my MCM

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I am quite smitten with the best man in the world, aka, my favorite person ever and my hottie Hubz, Dakota Wolf.

Dakota and I met my freshman (his sophomore) year of college at Campbell University. In stereotypical fashion, he was the quarterback and I was a cheerleader and we were introduced by a mutual friend. One Cookout run later, we immediately hit it off and never looked back from that night in early August! And boy, did I luck out!

To tell you a little bit about Dakota and his amazingness:

Weekend Recap: July 19-20

My favorite thing about living in Jacksonville is that there is so much to do! There are so many restaurants, shops, and activities we can't wait to try out! Before we we're officially Floridians, Dakota had talked about want to go to an Arena Football game and this past weekend we finally got the chance!

In case you had no idea an Arena Football League existed (I didn’t either until a few months ago!), let me fill you in!
